Why are some of my atlased sprites contributing to non-atlas build-size?
I've been using a Sprite atlas for a while to help with performance, and it's been great. However, I recently had a look at our build-size break down (in the editor log after building) and noticed that many atlased sprites appear to be contributing to build size separately from the main atlas.
The relevant part of the breakdown looks like this:
Used Assets and files from the Resources folder, sorted by uncompressed size:
128.0 mb 47.5% Built-in Texture2D: SpriteAtlasTexture-gui-sprites-2048x2048-fmt5
6.4 mb 2.4% Assets/Sprites/GUI-Atlas/Shop/Card/new_icon.png
5.4 mb 2.0% Assets/Sprites/GUI-Atlas/Effects/Sunshafts.png
You can see here that the "new_icon.png" sprite is definitely inside the atlas correctly:
Any idea why this is happening?
@stuffses did you find out any more about this?
I have the problem where my atlas is not being listed at the correct size, with my sprites also listed individually, but at incorrect sizes.
Reported a bug, #797226.
