Slice sprites that aren't rectangular
A mechanic in my game is moving parts of an image. I need to separate the parts (by color) of this image (shown below) and make them their own game objects. If they were all squares, this could easily be done by sprite cutting, but none of these image parts are rectangular, they're all curved. So my question is...
How can I best separate the colored parts of this image into separate parts? I'm open to other texturing options like textures or materials if there is a better way. All else fails, my artist can separate them into separate PNG files in photoshop, but I feel like that shouldn't be necessary.
Hey! slicing images is meant to be used to separate different images in an atlas, images in a sequence or even creating a so called 9-slice. Unfortunately there's no quick and easy way to separate your image in an efficient manner just by using its colors. Your best option would definitely be for your artist to split the image up into pieces.
