Using Text Mesh to display instructions, story, etc.
I'm making a game which will use screens to instruct players in how to use their controls and where to go. To test this out, I am looking to implement the map screen in Antichamber inside Unity. In my implementation, I wish to create an control instruction screen which dynamically changes based on your key bindings.
However, when using TextMesh to do so, I've found you cannot perform line returns. I've tried using a small script to change the text in the TextMesh component by adding "\n" line break character, but they appear alongside other characters during run time.
Is there any way to perform a line break using TextMesh, or should I be using some other tactic to create this effect? I could resort to using textures to display all the instructions, but I won't be able to dynamically change the key bindings text.
