Unity Technologies Standard Assets package. Errors
In the Asset Store there is a tab.... "By Unity" One then drops down to..... "Essentials" That takes us to a "Standard Assets" package which is a free download.
Has anyone had success with this package on versions 2017 upwards? I see in this Forum that there are a lot of unanswered questions on this pack.
I sent a message to Unity about these "Standard Assets". They say the package is working perfectly with Unity? What might I be doing incorrectly to be receiving error messages by the dozen and a "please fix errors" etc. It's such a good looking package too. I've tried it on 2017xxx 2018xx and 2019.
Yes they all work, yes I've used them all with 2019.1 (tutorial series I'm working on).
Import them into a brand new project and they should work, if you import into a brand new project and they are still giving you errors, I'm curious what errors you are getting; if I had to guess you are importing those packages into a project you are currently working on and it sounds like maybe there is a script that shares the same name as one you wrote that isn't encapsulated in a namespace.
