Question by snpmitch · Aug 06, 2019 at 09:58 PM · androidbuildlicense

Does the personal version include build to android? I keep getting the message "Your license does not cover Android Publishing". If not which tier do I have to purchase to get this?

I have installed the components and the external tools JDK/SDK show they are working.

Did the uninstall / used ccleaner to remove dead registry keys / reinstall and now it works. I used the new users download link which installed 2018.4.5f1. Tested that version and then installed 2019.2.0f1 and it now also works. What a pain in the backside.

A quick google search and this popped up as the first result: https://forum.unity.com/threads/2018-3-0f2-your-license-does-not-cover-android-publishing.602263/

Next time, try and google your issue, before posting about it.

It's tough to not return snark with snark, but I brought that on myself by not explaining what I've done so far.

This all started when I tried to update from version 5.3.8. It's been a while since I have used unity and figured an update was in order. The saga so far is I have tried:

  • Installing on Win7 Win10 and OSX with identical results

  • Logging out of my unity account / reboot computer / log back in

  • had each unit check for licence updates Next on the list is the complete uninstall/ remove from registry/ reinstall. I'm just hoping there is an easier fix that can be shared with the community, it seems I'm not alone in this.

@snpmitch It is definitely a bug, and there are many others like you who had the same problem.

But you were a little unclear in this comment, did you manage to fix it?
