First of all, I give you an advice: don't think about an online game, if you are new to coding, but start from the basis! However, if you are really interested in making an online game as your first experience, there are no significative differences between C# and Unityscript. C# is maybe preferable, because Unityscript (that you call JavaScript, but they are not properly the same) is "slower", for a series of reasons (it's slower in a "general" way, not specifically for the online, as I said). If you want a more complete tractation, read this topic. However, C# is a little more difficult to learn (and there are less examples on the Web); also for this reason I recommnd you to start with something more "easy"!

I disagree that there are less examples on the web for C#. Don't look for "unity3d c# " but look for native C#. If you don't look for DotNet specific libraries, there is are tons and tons of code snippets for nearly anything you would want to accomplish. Actually I recommend to take the little extra trouble learning C#. If you make a big, complex game (and who knows, what happens if you extend your game further and further) you WILL regret not having chosen C#, because it "forces" you to some extent to program more clearly and more structured. This will improve your ability to maintain the code later, vastly.
