(Just Graham testing the new moderation feature)
ha, this has resurfaced! I wonder why BlueRaja dug this up?
@alucardj I was trying to figure out why I couldn't post answers, so I used this as a test post. Turns out my answer needed to be moderated (It's supposed to tell me that my answer was "awaiting moderation," but for some reason it didn't).
I still can't ask questions, nothing shows up in the "preview" box and there's no "post question" button...
@BlueRaja , Hey, no worries, that was a really good idea !
Regarding your issues : I have noticed there has been a lot of work going on in the back-end ( 22/6 to current 26/6 ), even the asset store has been unavailable at times, so you may have to be patient and wait for the issues to be resolved.
So you cannot ask questions? mmm, all I can do is offer that you ask a question, post it as an answer to this question, and I shall ask it on your behalf. Then if you subscribe to the question, you should still get emails if anyone comments or answers. That is all I can offer as a community mod, but at least your question will be out there. Let me know if you do post a question as an answer to this, I shall grab it from the moderation que.
Edit : actually I just checked your karma, and you should be able to post questions and answers without approval. Try again, if the issue is the same, do as suggested above.
Actually, I'm going to take this opportunity to ask Unity :
Hello Unity $$anonymous$$ods, is there any chance on getting some information on what's happening 'on the other side' ? As well as Unity Answers and the Asset Store going offline, there are some issues with some UA functionality such as user search and sending messages from the button in the moderation que. Is there any information on : what is being worked on; how long to expect outages for; what things will be affected? $$anonymous$$any Thanks.
p.s. sorry if my last few comments have been very ungracious, it comes with the territory of what I mentioned in my P$$anonymous$$. Have taken time off, mellowed out and got over it.
Same here, cannot ask questions, as the post question button is missing, as well as the formatting buttons and the preview. Posting a comment and an answer works as usual, however. I tried several browsers (chrome, ie, firefox) but it's the same in all of them. When do you think this will be fixed? I really really need to ask a question ;)
It's kind of sad that some very important issues have still not been fixed... How damn long does it take to fix a single button? (Send $$anonymous$$essage in mod Queue)

We've been running on an old version of AnswerHub for the last two years. Over the weekend we updated to the latest and greatest version, which has given us some considerable speed improvements. Some of the fixes/changes that went into the "old" software are still being moved over to the "new" software. If you notice anything "wrong" PM me on the forum and I'll round up an issue list for dZone.
Thank God !
A year ago I had a big argument that the site was slow. The speed improvement today from here is spectacular.
Good one.
I had several issues just today; please see the comments to the question above (if you haven't already).
Currently mentioned issues :
cannot ask questions, nothing shows up in the "preview" box and there's no "post question" button
cannot ask questions, as the post question button is missing, as well as the formatting buttons and the preview.
in the user tab, user search is not working (returns no results)
in the moderation que, 'Send $$anonymous$$essage' button does not work, simply returns view to the top of the mod que
Also (but not part of UA normally) the 'reject and send message' greasemonkey script by merry_christmas no longer appears. I know this is not part of UA, but the feature is something that was asked for by the community, and has proved useful and time-saving. Also the 'Expert Section' has proven itself to be useful. Could you please ask dZone to make these permenant features. After seeing them in action I believe in Fatties vision. This doesn't segregate the community, all users can view and respond to these, but it really does draw the attention of those with a little more experience. Thanks. : http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/460121/beta-unity-answers-add-on.html
Don't forget: There is no "your answer is awaiting moderation" message when you answer your first question (this may have been fixed since yesterday, the 'cannot ask questions' one certainly has)

Seems to be working great :) Is there going to be an official announcement with the moderation details?

Hmm, do seem to be problems today. CSS layout seems wrong, so some features do not display correctly. I suspect the functionality is okay, just the access to those features is broken. (I posted an answer above just because clicking on the comment button showed me a 1pixel high comment box. :-(
But now it's working again... I wonder if the CSS has changed, and things were broken because we had "old" CSS?
Yeah, maybe can people clear their browser cache and reload the site - I think that will fix some problems.
I can see Javascript errors, which I suspect is killing the script execution. So, any dynamic feature possibly won't work. When trying to post a question I don't see any button bar, preview or submission button.
