Rope's segments scale down
I am working on making a rope by means of which player can climb, swing. Initially I started with 3D rope and my player is 2D. And this approach failed since the collision of 3D and 2D is not feasible in Unity3D.
I followed the same approach for creating 2D rope as I did in 3D rope creation. Next I created a sprite, the one forming a unit of the rope, connected to each other via hinge joints. The rope swings well when set an angle. The problem is with the sprite size. In the scene view, the rope is longer as compared to in the game view.
The above image shows the rope in scene view and it is quite clear that rope is at its expected position, attached to the tree branch.
This images shows rope originates from some distance from the tree branch and none of the segments in the rope is missing. The sprites constituting rope have scaled down.
I have been unable to comprehend why this has been happening. Please guide me to fix this issue.
