Mesh texture doesn't applies correctly
Hi
I have an issue with my object textures and i can't find any clue. I made a 3d model of a guitar body with freeCAD, then exported a stl file. I used a converter to transform stl file to .obj (also tried with .dae). The object succesfuly appears in my scene, i create a material and set a wooden texture to it.
The problem is i don't quite get the wood texture on the model, it's just a monochrome color that matches the average color of the image. (The globe representing the texture on material looked good though) If i apply it to a native unity cube it works.
Oh ! and i'm an absolute beginner with unity.
regards

Fixed it !
I used blender to open my mesh file, unwrapp and add UV's. I'm not quite sure to understand everything here but it worked
this is what i used as an example (never used blender either before) : https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/1022/adding-uv-mapping-to-mesh
