Setting up Oculus for Unity Issue
Hello,
I am working on a project and I need to setup Oculus Rift for Unity. I have been spending the last 2 days at the office trying to figure out how you can get the headset to actually work with Unity. I found this video on YouTube by "Valem" where he sets up an Oculus avatar for Unity in 5 minutes.
He doesn't even import anything into the project but the main camera still rotates with the headset which is pretty weird because it doesn't do it for me :/
He still downloads from the Oculus Developers site a couple of things:
Oculus Utilies for Unity
Oculus Avatar SDK
Oculus Platform SDK
When I go to the site, I can't see these things from where he Downloaded them from.
I then found out that there are two asset packs on the Asset Store:
Oculus Integration
VR Samples
I thought this was the way to go but I still get the same error:
"Virtual Reality Oculus SDK failed be Initialized" "Attempting to enable None instead"
I have my project as VR Supported.
Lastly I want to say that everytime I put my headset on the menu screen comes. You know when you put the Rift on and the magical music comes and you have the dock in front of you and the menu. I was wondering if that had anything to do with the fact that Unity doesn't want to give me access to the headset or the Oculus Application is blocking it?
Every idea will be tested and if there is anything unclear let me know :)
Thank you :)
