Don't want particles emmitting perpendicular to donut shape
Hi there,
I have a donut-shaped particle emitter and for a reason i cannot figure out the particles are emitting from one perpendicular slice of the donut (wireframe) instead of the whole donut. See screenshot. What setting do i need to change in order for the whole donut to be emitting particles in a flat plane that is oriented parallel to the donut? Thanks!

Most likely you set “loop” or “ping-pong” mode of donut arc. Change it to “random” or “burst spread” should fix it.
Thank you that did it. I do however like the uniformity of loop. Is it possible to make the other modes behave in a uniform pulse the way loop does?
edit change the shape to circle and I got exactly what i wanted, thanks again for your help!
