Exporting geometry from Unity to Maya,Exporting geometry from Unity into Maya
Hi, I'm working on a cinematic with a creature character, and I wanted to know the best way to go about animating it. So, this creature will be walking around an environment and interacting in very specific places. How can I animate while keeping these locations in mind, as in ensuring that when I import the animation to Unity the creature will move exactly where it's supposed to?
I thought that maybe just exporting the environment geometry into Maya to use a sa reference while I animate(using Maya to animate) would work, but when i import the Unity environment not all of the geometry imports in the correct place, and the sizing is all wonky and very small. I know that there's a difference in units measurements from the programs, Maya in CM and Unity in meters, but how can I get the enormity of my environment to transfer into Maya?
You can't get stuff from unity back to $$anonymous$$aya without like paying for 3rd party assets support from asset store.
