OpenCV Hand/Finger Recognition
Hi I would like to be able to track my hand and Fingers in Unity and create a virtual 3d model to interact with other virtual 3D models in the scene. I Wouldnt like to use a Kinect.. Just a normal WebCam. I know it seems a bit hard but does anyone have a solution?
Thankyou in advance.
Another option worth considering is the Leap $$anonymous$$otion: https://developer.leapmotion.com/documentation/csharp/devguide/Unity_Starter_$$anonymous$$it.html
$$anonymous$$y roommate has one, and the 3D finger tracking is surprisingly good - much better than you're likely to get with a webcam. Having worked with some computer vision recently, even just detecting 2D features from a video stream is difficult and error-prone. For 3D, a device that gets depth from parallax or time of flight is much more reliable.
