Creating a "farm" or "building" to animate over time (RTS style)
Hi,
Been searching through unity documentation and checked some tutorials but can't seem to alter what I have found to match my needs.
Wondered if anyone could point in the right direction of how to go about creating the following:
A farm plot that has crops growing on it over time. I'm not entirely sure how I'd go about this if I use the same asset for the farm but alternate assets for the type of crop the farm would have too, But something as simple as the crops increasing in scale over the course of "X" seconds would work fine.
Would this be a case of applying some form of transform to the crop part of the asset and having a bool of "isGrowing" and playing an animation for that?
RTS building over time with "construction" animation of the building itself - My thoughts on this are I will need seperate animations at different stages of the buildings progress - But I don't know how to hook that up if I had it available.
My current setup is you can select a building a place it in the world space and it will stay there, but I want to add this building over time aspect rather than the object just being there.
Hope this question isn't too noobish to ask.
For a frame of reference, something similar to how Banished works.
