How do I achieve the smallest amount of latency between Audio Input and Audio Output?
I'm attempting to make a real time voice changer app, so I'm taking Audio In from a microphone, running the signal through a mixer, then immediately Playing the audio through the Output. The problem is, the latency is somewhere around half a second, so the "real time" factor isn't very smooth. I've found solutions to playing audio clips by scheduling them to be played beforehand, but in this situation, that obviously won't work. Changing audio settings doesn't do much. Does anyone have any knowledge on possibly bypassing certain buffers or anything that might help here?
I do know that audio latency is virtually unavoidable, I'm just hoping to bring it down to as little as possible.
