Adjust Animationclip to specific start and end point
Hi Unity community!
I am fairly new to animations though I have played with them for awhile, but never in a serious manner. I am working on a system that needs full control of animations. I have the following issue:
I imported an animation from Mixamo and managed to use it. So far so good.
I have a point A and point B (or a distance).
I want the player to move from point A to point B using this animation.
For example: the selected animation makes the player jump 2 meters. What I want to do is to keep the same animation but instead of 2 meters to jump N meters. This would be a dynamic distance calculated within the game logic. Is there a way to have the animationclip adjust to the start and end points (or specific distance)?
Thanks

You can't change animations in Unity. What I would do is remove the horizontal movement from your animation, and then move horizontally via a script
Thanks for the answer. This would be a problem. Currently I am trying to do a climbing system and I have the start and end points for each movement. The issue here are the animations. Ideally I would like to fit the jumping left/right to a generic animation, regardless of the player jumping 1m, 2m or 10 m.
