Does Transform.Translate override Rigibody2D.MovePosition?
I have my player controlled through Rigibody2D.MovePosition but I can't seem to control it when the elevator is going up or down. The elevator applies Transform.Translate to every object inside it so it moves along with it. It takes the delta distance it moved and adds that to their transforms. I can't seem to control my character when the elevator is moving?

Simplest thing to hang on to moving objects is to set your player as a child to that object.
