When baking lightmaps GPU Preview changes to CPU Progressive
Hello,
I have been trying to bake the lightmaps of an optimized environment the past week. Unfortunately every time I try to bake the lightmaps with Progressive GPU (Preview) half an hour later it goes automatically on Progressive CPU and a day or two later the scene and Unity project just crashes. My pc has 80gb installed ram, AMD Ryzen 7 3700x8 Processor and an RTX 3080. The irony is whenever I bake in normal or low setting the Lighting bakes just fine. I do not have any light probes in the scene and just one Reflection probe. All the assets inside the scene are game optimized and all the lights are set to baked.
The settings that I have using are Lightmapper : Progressive GPU (Preview) Progressive Updates : Ticked Multiple Importance Sampling : Unticked Direct samples : 128 Indirect samples : 128 Environment Samples : 512 Light Probe Sample Multiplier : 4 Min Bounces : 2 Max Bounces :10 Filtering :Auto Lightmap Resolution : 2048 Lightmap Padding : 2 Max Lightmap Size : 2048 Lightmap compression : High Quality Ambient Occlusion : Ticked
