Unity 5 Personal iOS Splash Screen Problem
For some reason when I build to my iPhone 5s to test my game out, the background will be gray and the Unity splash screen will not show up and then it will flash the unity logo very briefly (1/10 second), then the game starts. Sometimes the logo won't even come up and just have that gray background until my game starts. This obviously looks awful and don't want to put my game on the Apple App Store this way. This problem has persisted for a while now. I'm using Unity 5.3.4f1 and Xcode 7.3.1 currently, but this issue has gone on for previous versions of each program. I've searched on how to fix this to no avail, so any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you
Same for me with Unity Pro 5.3.5p3, except I see black ins$$anonymous$$d of gray before the brief flash of splash image. (And the image is custom, rather than the Unity logo.) iPad is fine, but iPhone 6+ shows a black screen during the launch "zoom up," then quickly fades (so quick I could only see it in a screen recording) to a flash of the splash image before entering the app.
(Oddly, the first build I did with 5.3.5p3 worked fine: the splash image appeared during the zoom-up, same as on iPad. But now it no longer works, and I've changed nothing related to the splash screen. So the issue may be intermittent? But the same build fails on iPhone while working on iPad.)
This is with iOS 9.3.2 and the Xcode 7.3.1.
Oddly, Build and Run again with NO changes resulted in a splash screen that worked fine. It seems as though some identical builds have the problem, some don't... so... try, try again?
