Blender Animation not playing

I have an animation of my character walking with a gun imported into Unity but the gun, which is supposed to sway side to side, won't play it's animation. However, the character plays it's animation just fine.

I don't know if it is something to do with Blender or unity, my thought is it is because the gun was copied and pasted from another file into my character file and i animated it from there. Any ideas?
