How to group multiple Sprites to a new Sprite?
Hello everyone, I'm new in unity development. After the learning for some time, I got a problem about sprite rendering. I want to group some sprite to a new one, like rendering sprites in another layer in PS. then I can use the new sprite to a SpriteRenderer to render it. Like this:
I searched for some helps, like using RenderTextures or Texture2D.SetPixels(). But RenderTextures need to create new asset, and the number is fixed. I need layers for every instance in the game, so it's not very appropriate to use RenderTexture. As for the Texture2D, I'm worried about the performance of it because it use cpu but not gpu.
Is there any better methods to resolve that?
