Steam VR longbow Arrow wont fire

So I've gotten the arrow and bow to appear in the hands of the player, and then it makes the clicking noise when the bow is ready to fire, but the string of the bow wont pull back or release the arrow. I'm not sure what i'm missing, any help would be appreciated
