Transparent sprite when it is overlapping another sprite on the same sorting order

I am working with the tile map system in unity5 and have set up a map with all the tiles. My problem is the tree is overlapping the one underneath it so that the roots are showing up above the tree beneath it. The roots are a transparent color and i want to turn off the transparency of overlapping tiles.
