Where To Learn Occlusion Culling Scripts

I need to only render objects that are in front of other objects. The objects that are behind, and not visible to the camera will not be rendered. I don't have unity pro and don't intend on using or buying it until I have learned most on the free version. Occlusion culling is not on the free license of unity so I will have to make a personal version of culling with scripts. Where can I get more info on scripting for occlusion culling.

Why bother?

The performance gains you are going to get from doing this are probably not worth the effort for a game you don't intend to sell.

Mathematics for 3D Game Programming and Computer Graphics has some great algorithms. I started with that when I was creating SECTR VIS. Note that GPUs are very good at hidden object removal (rendering only the things in front) so unless you are burning tons of CPU time rendering things behind other things, you may not get much benefit from CPU OC.
