3D Software Renderer Question
I've started Unity recent;y, and I want to start making my own games. The problem is my software (Google Sketchup), can't export well to Unity, even with plugins. So I'm trying to find a new software. My only requirements are:
- Free
- Supported by Unity
- Can do animation and cloth simulation
- Fairly easy interface
I've been looking up some softwares but I also need personal opinion for people who use Unity. If this is an impossible task, take off the "fairly easy interface". Thanks for anything.
Blender has a steep learning curve, but once you get used to it, it's really quick and easy to use. It's free and just as powerful/diverse as any commercial product

Blender, as long as you remove the "cloth simulation" requirement. (Unless you convert it into an animation with bones, which is the only animation Unity supports. Unity 3 has cloth physics anyway.) I don't think you're going to find anything else that's free with animation support.
Thanks, Eric. I probably won't have them complete until Unity 3 comes out anyway. I will still look (and open for answers), but thanks.
