How do I use an Xbox controller axis other than the left thumbstick?
Hey,
I've looked up a lot of stuff on here about using an Xbox controller with Unity, and I know which axis the right stick is and the shoulder buttons are, however I don't know how to use them. If I use Input.GetAxis() all I know to put in there is horizontal and vertical for the left stick (as a String.)
How do I tell it that I want to use Axis2 or Axis3?
Thanks.
I figured it out eventually. Turns out you have to go to Edit -> Project Settings -> Input. Then, make a new axis (or use an unused one), and choose 'joystick axis' type, and axis number whatever corresponds.
