What's the theory behind loading/unloading terrains and objects for open worlds??
I get that when you have an open world you have to load and unload terrains and game objects...
so if i slice up a terrain do i make a duplicate for each slice. that should be left behind in a lower LOD after i move out of the area?
or is that big backdrop suppose to be something else more simple than a terrain...
if someone could give me the low down on the best way to go about this process that would be sweet.. I downloaded an asset to help (the dynamic terrain loader and slicer) and it works great but I'm not sure how to use it to it's full potential..
