Animator Controller scales down model at runtime
I'm using an fbx model in Unity. I have attached it to a parent component containing all the logic, the rigidbody and colliders. Everything is working fine; the model is moving around, rotating and taking actions in accordance with user input.

Then I add an animator controller. Still no problem. Once i set up the different animation clips in the animator controller, the model is suddenly scaled (down) to an immutable value.

I cannot pre-rescale the model to offset this runtime scale-down as it scales to the same value every time. (scale 100 becomse 6,54, scale 10 also becomes 6,54). I have tried using a different fbx model. It rescaled to an immutable value as well, but a different value.

Has anyone else had this problem? I cannot find any relevant articles.
