Game View too small to fit iPad preview (on 13" Macbook)
I'm using Unity iOS Basic on a 13" Macbook, wich has a resolution of 1280x800. I need to test my game with iPad Wide (1024x768) and since I have some "pixel-perfect" GUI going on, I can't use iPad Wide (4:3), it would screw up proportions. Unfortunately looks like the viewport is too small to fit the iPad screen size, because of all the Unity bars here and there. I also tried to detach the Game View and extending it at maximum size, but all I can get is 1024x735 (visible in the Stats popup).
Is there any possible solution to this, like fullscreen mode? Thanks to everyone!
Why are you making something pixel-perfect for an obsolete resolution?
I don't understand how 1024x768 could be an obsolete resolution, since it's the standard for iPad1 and iPad2. Thanks for the link though.
What I'm saying, is, designing a UI at 1024x768 and calling it pixel-perfect, for iPad, is a poor way of thinking. None of we new iPad users want something that blurry. There's no way you're going to see all the pixels that you need to render, so the best you can do is use 4:3, with the Game view as large as possible, or get a bigger external monitor (why aren't you using one?).
Anyway, iPad 1G doesn't even get iOS 6. However, Rumors are that 1024x768 will be making a temporary comeback on the iPad $$anonymous$$i.
