Confusion about Mixed lighting
Hello I am a bit confused about the whole mixed lighting thing. It doesn't help that the tutorials uses different terms than what's in the editor, oh well.
In the tutorials it stands that using mixed lighting have a higher performance than just using preprocessed realtime lighting or baked GI by their own because it uses the sum of both. (I guess Preprocessed Realtime Global Illumination = Realtime Global Illumination)
I am just wondering though, is it true? What if I per-light-basis set some to realtime while others are baked? For example I am making an outdoor scene and want the sun to be realtime, but other smaller lights should be baked. Aren't I saving performance by setting it to mixed lighting and setting the sun to realtime and other lights to baked?
Grateful for any help, this is making me so confused!
