Can you upgarde into another version of unity without loosing content?
,Hello, so Im considering to get Unity to develop a game, however this is my question, if I download the free version to check it out, see if I like it, develop some things if I then decide to get the pro version will I have to start from scratch again or will I be able to open my game file and keep developing it from Unity Pro now?
You don't lose anything upgrading to the pro version of Unity. Unity pro isn't exactly a different version, it's just more like the unlocked version of the software.
The same can be said if you go from one unity version to another (2017 to 2018 or something similar) you won't lose anything the only issues are just bits of code you may need to change.
