i can't paint grass and i can't change size of trees when painting! did the painting trees/grass terrain is broken?

hi, i know i'm not alone with this bug because google have a tons of it and still no working solution! I can't paint any 2D model to the terrain, grass or icon.. nothing appear, and when i try with painting trees, i can't change the size of trees even if i change the option.. it's like if it was broken

I can paint 3D model of grass with the painting tree option, but my fps drop down a lots with too much 3D model.

I remember 1 year ago when i used unity 4, i was able to paint grass, but today i can't and i'm not alone :\

Someone have a solution for that? using an other tool to paint on terrain? Thanks for help!
