How to optimise illumination in VR games?
Hello developers, I need your help...
I'm working on a VR project (with an Oculus), where the player turns on a generator and the entire scene (well, few rooms indeed) lights up. Every room in the scene has a reflection probe that had baked the room but just one is accessible at the begging.
I've tried to switch the lightmaps of the same scene, but it doesn't look very good and the reflection probes don't help. Plus sometimes the lightmaps that unity generate are different one from another.
Is there a better or a simpler way to light up a scene in VR? Maybe with mixed light?
