Trees painted by the terrain editor are too small
I have this issue where the trees I am painting with the terrain editor are all too small and there don't seem to be any options to change this. I've increased the scale of the prefabs, but that doesn't seem to affect the result at all. What surprised me though was that due to the default settings the trees initially appeared as huge billboards that seemed to be the exact scale I had set for the prefabs, but the trees themselves shrink down to 1x1x1 scale when I go closer or increase billboard distance.
So clearly the terrain system is reading in some data regarding the scale of the prefab, but it's not applying it to the correct thing.
I tried looking up solutions, but posts on this problem date back to 2011. I know Unity is actively working on the terrain system, but this is such an old problem - am I missing something?
At least I can use it for small debris for now...

I guess the terrain editor is just half-broken entirely? I have several other functions not working for me... Tree height can not be randomized; I can only paint a limited amount of details before the previously placed ones become inactive; some meshes I can't even paint for unknown reasons... This is rather annoying cause I've seen these features work for other people in various videos in the past and I deicided to use this tool for my project cause it seemed to have all those useful features, but several of them don't work properly :(

Trees are broken for me too. They don't scale or rotate at all.
