Mobile game levels, one map or code generated scenes.
Hello there,
The detail on the question is that we are trying to make a vertical scrolling game with different levels pre-designed, and want them to be concatenated with no cut-scenes. Like you can get from start to the end of the game on one sitting. So, the question is, shall we do a giant level with all the game components pre positioned, or is there a way to create different scenes and instantiating them on realtime. The game has to create waypoints so when you die you get back to that same part you were playing at. We're newbies and don't know how much impact in performance would have having the whole game in just one scene.
Would really appreciate your help and knowledge to save a huge amount of time.
