How to start in monoscopic (non-vr) mode on a GVR cardboard application?
Hi all,
I am trying to employ the GVR Magic Window technique to get access to both a monoscopic (single screen non-VR) and steroscopic (Virtual Reality split screen) in my exported mobile android application. I just want the application to launch in Monoscopic view, and then give the option to switch to Stereoscopic VR if desired. I built the application using GVR's dev guidelines but their scripts flatten the scene to only view the floor upon launch, and my attempts to call XRSettings.enabled seem to break the scene and launch a black non-functional screen. I'm building in Unity3D 2017.4.4 for cardboard GVR SDK 1.100.1. My scenery is a 3D tour, and uses Unity3D with waypoint navigation through space.
These are the two guides I have been following: https://developers.google.com/vr/develop/unity/guides/magic-window https://developers.google.com/vr/develop/unity/guides/hybrid-apps
I attached these scripts to my camera (in various combinations and edits) and set the launch to access "None" first instead of Cardboard.
Many thanks in advance for anybody who might know some advice.

Hello to both @egangw and @Pulkitguglani1011;
Can either of you post more detail about the symptoms you are seeing, or did you resolve this? I am having trouble with "magic window" as well; in some cases the camera becomes unresponsive and seems to be out-of-focus (like "...but their scripts flatten the scene to only view the floor upon launch..." perhaps) and I'd like to get as much info as I can to resolve this.
