Trying to open C# script- Unity freezes, script does not open
Hey all, Just in the last couple days, opening C# scripts has for some reason become a huge issue for Unity. I'm on Mac, so I can't use Monodevelop, though I would MUCH prefer it over Visual Studio. When I double-click to open a script, Visual Studio opens, but it goes to the menu instead of opening my script. I can manually navigate to my scripts to open them just using Visual Studio, but then I don't have the option to build them. When I click back to Unity to try again, I find that it has frozen and needs to be force-quit. Needless to say, this is making editing my scripts incredibly difficult/impossible. Any ideas on what's causing this/how to fix it?
I'm getting this too just now, on $$anonymous$$ac and Unity 2019.2.2f1. No idea what's causing it.

i have never used visual studio in mac, but can you make sure visual studio unity tools are installed? it happens in all projects or just in that?
I do have the Visual Studios $$anonymous$$ac Tools for Unity installed... but when opened Visual Studio to check, of course my scripts opened flawlessly. I haven't changed any settings or anything from earlier, so I have no idea why it's working now- the magic of turning it off and on again, I suppose.
i would suggest trying to install visual directly with unity, or instal visual studio unity tools, is unity hub also available in mac? i find it usefull for downloading individual componentes and tracking versions.
