Question regarding Unity UI scaling on Android devices
So in short, I am about 3 months into a portrait Android game project. I have developed it pretty much entirely on a Samsung Galaxy S6 with a default res of 1080x1920. I am using scale with screen size, default res 1080x1920, tried both match width or height and Expand.
Basically, I have only now just picked a random new phone res to try out in the editor to see if everything looks ok, I picked the Samsung Galaxy s10, and similarly the iPhone 10, and noticed that these phones have really elongated height, and for some reason even though they have a larger width, the game window squeezes inwards providing less FOV. I don't have anyone I know who owns an S10 or anything similar, Does anyone know if certain apps are "cropped" on these devices? I know because of the notch some apps need to be stretched out further? Really not sure what to do at this point my UI just looks out of place at any res that doesn't match 1080x1920 or similar.
I have read the basic "design your project for any ui" guides by unity but they're not relevant.
