Access Magnetometer Data
Does Unity provide any support for accessing magnetometer data? to determine global device orientation
What do you mean with magnetometer?
Do you mean the accelerometer that uses the earth gravitation to detect an orientation, the gyro or are you talking about the compass?
For all 3 of them the answer would be yes, thats possible, the compass is called heading though so not needfully intuitive to find in the script reference if you don't happen to struggle over it when you look at the gps stuff
For any other form of magnetometer you would need a plugin
ah right, i was wondering if there are any unity native function's for the compass/magnetometer.. there's Input.gyro newly added, but unfortunately not yet other support for compass other than thru plugins
