Level Loading in Chunks
Hello everyone, I'm working on a sidescrolling platforming game, the assets are in 2D but I work in a 3D space. Since the graphic assets are all hand-drawn I was wondering this: If I put a chunk of the level geometry, enemies, collectibles and all that in an empty game object and make it inactive until it's on camera would that be helpful performance-wise or is there little to no difference from having the entire level active the entire time?
