Moving platform causing Janky movement
Hi all,
I have been researching this problem for about two days now and haven't come up with anything that has remedied my problem.
So basically, I have a player, which is moved by adding force to a rigidbody and that all works great. However a problem has arisen in which the player needs to stay on a platform which is moving up and down (with animation, not script) and obiously this platform has a rigidbody on it.
I have it set to "Is Kinematic" and "Continuous" and the player is set to "Continuous Dynamic".
I am unable to "parent" this platform to the game object because it scales the player to about 200 times the size (I think this is because the platform is itself a child of an empty game object)
The codes for moving the play is in FixedUpdate and I have tried many combinations but still get flickery movement and sometimes the player actually falls through the platform because it doesn't update on time.
Does anyone have a suggestion where I might be going wrong?
