Unsavory collisions with terrain?
I have a simple cube that has a box collision mask and a rigidbody applying gravity, as well as a script that tells the box to randomly go in back and forth as well as rotate. It was pretty fun watching the cube randomly bumble around, but then I noticed when it went into terrain that was rising, is got a weird and glitchy and start partially sinking in the terrain, I'm assuming this was because collisions with terrain can be so complicated. Is there any way to fix strange collisions with terrain? Thanks.
Because your description is vague and has no code, images, or videos to explain it.
Your question is "Is there any way to fix strange collisions with terrain?" and the answer is: yes, literally millions of ways.
Without providing a more specific question, you cannot receive a more specific answer.
Also, this is a community site, and anyone answering questions is volunteering on their own free time, so an entitled attitude probably won't get you very far either. On top of that, your user icon certainly doesn't engender any desire to help.
The issue I am having does not involve code, either that or I am one of the few people who does not start writing out a script every time I want to make sure a collision that does not work horribly. As a beginner user of Unity, I simply make a collision component such as a box collider, and then let the game do things from there. Apparently though the game is not very good even at calculating simple box collisions without you having to screw around with it some more. So the reasoning behind me not posting the code for it is that there is no code for it. I could take a picture, but I don't think that would help anyone find the issue, I could record a video of the collision, but that seems like going a bit too far for a supposedly simple issue, or I could just post my game, but who has the time to go through my game and find the issue when no one will even make a simple suggestion to me of why my collisions are not going smoothly? $$anonymous$$y entitled attitude seems to be that I expect people to reply to at least respond to one in two of my posts that request simple help from more advanced Unity users as I am obviously not as capable as finding out why Unity is so bad at calculating box collisions with the terrain. As for my profile picture, it is a joke and nothing more, but I'll change it anyways for the fact that every time someone displays that they are offended by something, there are who knows how many more that don't.
