How to make reverse countdown timer in unity?

Hi I am trying to make a reverse count down timer which should start from let's say 2 minutes and it should come back to 0:00 its basically a level timer? I have been able to achieve forward timer from 0:00 onward but how can I reverse this? any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here's my code: public Text gameTimerText; public float gameTimer = 0f;

 void Start () {
     gameTimerText = GetComponent<Text>() as Text;
 }

 void Update () {

     gameTimer += Time.deltaTime;

     int seconds = (int)(gameTimer % 60);
     int minutes = (int)(gameTimer / 60) % 60;

     string gameTimerString = string.Format("{0:0}:{1:00}",minutes,seconds);
     gameTimerText.text = gameTimerString;
 }

This should get you what you want. Hope it helps.

 public class CountdownTimer : MonoBehaviour
     {
         float gameTime = 60f;
         float startTime;

         void Awake()
         {
             startTime = Time.time;
         }

         void Update()
         {
             float elapsedTime = Time.time - startTime;

             int minutes = (int)((gameTime - elapsedTime) / 60) % 60;
             int seconds = (int)((gameTime - elapsedTime) % 60);
             string gameTimerString = string.Format("{0:0}:{1:00}", minutes, seconds);
             Debug.Log(gameTimerString);

             if (elapsedTime >= gameTime)
             {
                 // Times up
             }
         }
     }
