How do I make my transparent object transparent (faded) without its back parts being seen through it?

Hello!

I have made my tree (made up of two fronds) transparent by using the standard fade shader. This gives the tree the look I want except I don't want the frond behind to be seen through the frond I'm facing. In other words, I don't want its back parts to be seen through itself. Is there a way to fix this? Would really appreciate the help.
