What is the best way to fire a network request and get response in the EditorWindow ?
I am trying to create a plugin using Unity EditorWindow's possibilities. While creating and styling of UI has a lot of documentation, I can't find any solid approach or recommended way of firing a network request from an editor window.
I have tried approaches which have been suggested in the following links using a loop technique ( blocked ). And its working as well, the problem is that the UI is blocked due to this operation which is something I want to try and get rid of. https://forum.unity.com/threads/using-unitywebrequest-in-editor-tools.397466/
I also tried approaches wherein I tried using a MonoBehaviour extended class which would fire a UnityWebRequest, but there the problem was that I wasn't able to start a coroutine from anywhere in the editor window without which the approach had to be dropped.
Also the plugin that I am creating needs to support from at least Unity2017. Though this is the case, I would like to know possibilities only on later versions and above if any are available.
Thanks for your time.
