My animation is changing the position of root bone
To cut it short, when I have my animator component on, the root bone get pushed slightly down and to the side, this results in the model getting buried under the terrain
I have been trying to fix this but to no avail, can someone tell me what might be wrong?

Can you check your animation position Hip (or root of the rig) in the first frame? maybe the position of the animation doesn't start on near zero position,
First, click on object that have animator, then see on animation window, than select transform of Hip position (or root of the rig) in animation window, look the transform, it's start near on 0 position or not.
Hope it help.
This was it! Thank you so much
For anyone wondering, basically click on the object that’s being stupid, go to the animation window, you will see a Transform with the name insert name of bone here : position, click the drop down menu and change everything to zero
I am not sure how it ended up like this since I applied every rotation and location under the sun
