How to control bright with a slider in 2d

Hello I´ve started in unity some months ago seen tutorials. I have been a lot of week looking for how to control the bright with a slider. I tried to control the opacity of a black object I also tried to control the bright changing the value DefaulAsset.Name on the folder bright.

And any of them have worked. If you could help me i´ll apreciate it. Thank you.
