Glitch in shadows with directional light
Hi all, I have a simple setup, a directional light and some planes on the ground, I have built some roads meshes and puting them over ground makes this kind of glitch in the shadow, I check if there is any not-attached edge or the images have any alpha area on the edges or something but all seem to be correct, just the shadow seem to detect where the road wall is and make that kind of light line there where it ends, Im using Unity 5.6.1. Thanks beforehand for any help =)
Im sorry I couldnt reply earlier, and I yes it happens in game view too, with the solution suggested by $$anonymous$$emeinaction (set to zero normal map in light) it works fine in all views

I believe this is called "Shadow Acne" which is a problem in unity, and possibly not your fault, it basically happens when a mesh does not have inside depth (2d) and the light of the directional light leaks through the mesh. Just turn down Shadow Bias and i believe that should be fixed.
And for the outline being white ("Fire flies") just go to Editor->Project Settings->Quality and turn off anti anailising
Yes this worked like you said and th eoutline vanished, thanks a lot =)
I put "Normal bias" to zero, is that the right path? seems to work right, I tried zeroing "Bias" too but the shadows start to blink and act strange everywhere
hm turn the normal bias down, but dont put it to zero.
Its odd, when I put it to zero it goes fine but if I put it to 0.1 it makes strange shadows appear blinking in editor mode, in game mode both values work apparently
