Problem in an animation exported from blender in fbx, using a child of constraint.
Hi, I made a character, humanoid rigged and animated. She holds a knife, which has it's own dedicated bone. The bone has a child of constraint, that keeps it child of the hand bone.
Now the animation plays just fine in blender, but as soon as I export the whole thing in fbx in unity ( using blender 2.79b and unity 2018.2.9f1 ) I get an odd problem : the knife follows the hand, but it does not stay still and kind of moves on it's own. Not enough to make it get out of the hand but it does look completely unnatural.
I did notice that reimporting the fbx in blender results in the same issue, so that might have to do with the way I import, but checking tutorials never seemed to help in any way.
I do know that, for a knife, there's ways to go around that kind of problem, but for future projects I need to be able to animate a child/parent constraint in my 3d software ( otherwise, doing a character that holds a two handed weapon is impossible, for example).
I did notice that exporting in fbx ASCII instead of binary kinda helps on that problem, but if makes other issues appear (like the character not having the same size in editor view and in game view, as if the animations resize the character to about ten times the normal size).
I'm not quite sure this is the right place, but I've been searching for a while now, and I didn't found anything that could solve this. Any idea ?
