How to convert texture to sprite VIA INSPECTOR
I have seen many a question asked on how to covert a 2d texture to a sprite, but the solution always involves code. So, i was wondering if there is a way to change my texture2d objects into sprites via the inspector.

In the import settings, you change it from Texture, to Sprite. That's the default way of doing it.
I tried doing that, but it still reads as a texture2d when I'm dragging it around to put it in the necessary parts of my script.
Well, a sprite is sort of a subtype of Texture2D. So, a sprite object in the project view can be dropped into a Texture2D slot. Have you tried dropping it into a sprite slot? Because that will only work when it's set to Sprite.
What are you trying to do? Prevent sprites from dropping into Texture2D slots? Why?
I'm trying to drop a sprite into a sprite slot, but since my image is a texture2d, it won't budge. And the worst part about it is I did change the texture type to a sprite via import settings, but it still won't fit.
